I started drinking before I was born. My mom drank while pregnant with me and after I was born gave me wine to go to sleep. She also did this to stop me from crying. So, I acquired the taste at an early age. I got suspended in the sixth grade for smoking THC and I also drank all throughout junior high school and high school. I was in a nine year relationship which was verbally abusive. I gained an enormous amount of weight, which I was constantly told about it so I went on the worst diet in ...   read more »

When I was growing up, I had such low self-worth. I felt as though I didn't belong on this earth. A self-image I could easily diminish, A statement I feel I can't make any clearer, I hated myself and who I saw looking back in the mirror. I wasn't born that way, but with the absence of guidance and instruction, I conditioned myself to sabotage and self-destruction. Sooner rather then later, the world I'd created became more and more contaminated, as my actions became more outlandish...   read more »

WHO I AM. When i think about who I am as of this moment,I still see a kid with a wounded child mentality who’s to scared to face reality. A solider who’s always on the defensive instead of being on the offensive. Always looking to unload on the weak so I can keep my superiority and my winning streak. The feelings are uncontrollable, how much I don’t like to be open and vulnerable. I'll push you away before I let you in, but I’ll bring you down with me and take you to my next sin. My...   read more »

This is an up-date from when I wrote my story April 13, 2010. My journey has really exploded with wonder. In November 2010, I was elected President of the Alumni for the C.K.Post Rehab on Long Island. How wonderful is tha;I get to be a part of a great government that's whole concept is "Giving Back" freely what was given to us. So far we've had a pizza party with the rehab patients, we had a great Memorial Day barbaque with the patients, where we had fellowshiped with them, played outdoor games, ...   read more »

I started drinking and smoking pot at an early age, about 12 years old. I continued to drink through high school, college, etc. I quit drinking several times over the years, but always just switched addictions. My wife stuck with me through the years and ended up becoming a drug & alcohol counselor... Yeah, for real. My disease continued to progress until I discovered meth at age 38. The next 6 years were ugly. At age 42 my wife found out what I was using, and had finally had enough. Coinc...   read more »

Beginning to End I have come a long way compared to where I was. I was 15 years old when I started with light drugs like weed. That went on for years until I was 18 years of age. Then I moved on to sniffing coke and drinking hard alcohol. I am now 32 years of age, pregnant with my fourth child, and clean.   read more »
