Children are very perceptive. Through watching my parents and their friends, I perceived at the age of 10 that, alcohol was a mood changer, a stimulant, a bottle of make me feel good. At the age of 10, I did not feel good about myself.
I began sneaking sips of my parent’s drinks. I liked the way alcohol made me feel, like I was someone else, like I was "a part of" something special.

First and foremost, I want to thank God for another day clean and sober. My name is Jessie and I am 45 years old. I came from a family of 6 boys and 4 girls. I am second from the baby. I had a good and productive upbringing as child and teenager. It was ME that choose to do the things that weren’t good for ME!!!
