Each year, 12 individuals are chosen to be spokespeople for recovery and for the Your Story Matters campaign. The 12 campaign "spotlights" as they are called, are an integral piece of the Your Story Matters campaign, offering a face and a voice to a unified, consumer-driven Recovery Movement in New York. Addiction doesn't discriminate, but neither does recovery. And the faces of the 2009-10 Your Story Matters campaign spotlights are proof that recovery is real. We are currently reaching out to New York providers and the community-at-large for suggestions as we choose the next 12 campaign spotlights to be unveiled during Recovery Month, September 2010.
